Ronald Koeman discussion

It makes no sense, if he does the toddling then he's been a success, so Evertonians are happy, if we toddle him off he's been a failure.

Well not so much toddle off then but just be on his way, new job to god knows where or we let him go. It's just a feeling I have, right or wrong. He could be here in 10 years having won us lots. Hopefully he is. Big favourite of mine as a playrr...and as he is a Barça great too, I should be delighted with the appointment but it just leaves me cold.

Why aren't you impressed mate? (Genuine question here, I'm not on the wind up like some others in here...)
I am an Evertonian (67yrs old) and I only watch on Sky Tv. If I am honest I find watching Everton boring. I watch all the teams in Premier and just enjoy watching good/exciting football. I sat down to watch Everton v West Ham live and at half-time was so bored decided to take the dog t o the country park, which was a good decision even though we won? ( watched recorded 2nd half just as boring!)Not sure if I am allowed to say this but some of Liverpool's games have been really good and I think we are miles behind them! I have posted previously the squad is not good enough, hopefully when Koeman brings in his choice of players there will be a turnaround?

Each to their own mate, doesn't mean I don't rate Koeman, but Klopp and his style of play have been really good (unfortunately) I'm still harbouring hopes that he can't get the to do it over a 38 game PL season, as he struggled to a Dortmund despite a less competitive league and 4 games per season less.

This....hopefully they cannot maintain the intensity.

Cmon Ian. This whole tit for tat between you two understandably started with your version of being a proper evertonian in our last managers first couple of seasons. There was no patience for the 'project' back then. Like I've said before I think you two have just agreed to reverse the roles behind the scenes and keep the circus going
Take note of the 'admitted to' bit mate, Martinez was never ever ever going to be good enough IMHO so I said it, never tried to deny it, despite being goaded after almost every victory.

He had no need to back down in the first place if he'd have held his tongue. The rules are the rules and the player has indicated he wanted to travel to his country's matches and he declared himself fit. End of story.
He'll have the last laugh when McCarthy is flicked off 1st first opportunity.

I think fair. I am trying to get an article up about our start. One point is that our results have been good far more than the performances.

You can look at that two ways. Either we have been lucky and be caught out. Or there is more to come and how good will we be when we start to get the players on Koeman wants? I think thats the debate to be had in this.

When it was good under Martinez it was almost perfect. The problem was we had to be perfect to win.
Look forward to reading that mate. I said the other day that I'd rate results at 7/10 and performance at 5/10.

There's also that possibility that we get better players in, become more expansive, then lose the security that playing lesser players more conservatively gets you!

But that's what was always going to happen mate. Koeman is complaining now but he wanted him out in the last few days of the transfer window and would have gone if Spurs hadn't have trumped the Sissoko deal.

This thing with O'Neill is just embarrassing. Tbf, looking at him today he actually does look embarrassed at how it's escalated.

Gotta to dislike the above term. That reminds me of the crap spouting out of the clown's (you know who) mouth. If I am being honest I don't care as long as Everton win. I did not enjoy the game like losing 3-6 to Chelsea, 2-3 to West Ham or drawing 3-3 to Bournemouth in the last two seasons. It may be entertaining for the neutral but certainly not Evertonian. I rather we won West Ham 2-0 every week than these so called exciting football.

Yes I think we've had two good halves this season, Spurs at Home and Sunderland away. Yet we have a return. Make of that what you will.
