Ronald Koeman discussion

Would seem that a lot of the players are already not buying into his style of management

Could be like Valencia all over again

If you mean 7th or 8th, I'd agree to an extent if we play to a consistently high percentage level of capabilities. Its not a top 6 squad though in my opinion.

Good managers can get lesser teams and lesser players performing above their level though, whether that be through tactics, through man management, motivation etc etc.

Koeman in tonights Echo

"We need to learn and we need to change a lot of things when we don't have the ball, how is our transition? How are we coming back? Is it sprinting or is it at 80%? There was a big difference between Chelsea and Everton today."

lol we did nothing with the ball ...even less than without it

And Witsel stayed at Zenit or something, William Carvalho stayed at Sporting (who are competing on many fronts, Europe included), Lamine fecking Kone stayed at Sunderland. SUNDERLAND! The list can go on and on afterwards anyway, you catch my drift. Also Napoli are no better than us right as of this moment.

Was also vising us as the 'random crap' in that sense - Arsenal coming in for him, big money, big name, big team, will be top 4, everyone knows them... or us, won nothing, finishing bottom half. Yeah, I know which one I'd choose, even on equal money, do you?

Could you honestly imagine, say, Mata (I know, we were never in etc etc) going "you know what, I'll snub the massive brand that is United who will probably finish in/near the top and go play for Everton so we can finish 10th again. YEAH!"? I honestly can't, and same goes for the rest of those.

Well you cant really blame someone for a player staying where they are can you? Maybe their kids are in school, maybe they like where they are? (Well maybe not Kone..) but we may not have even been in for Witsel, Kone and Carvalho.

Napoli is probably a much better option than us for a bloke who is from Italy...

Of course not regarding Mata. But if we qualified for the Europa or came 7th lets say that would still apply. Even coming in the top 4 probably wouldnt sway him as you assume United will be back up there one day whereas there is no guarantee we would stay there.

We have a squad of meek, mammied arse holes that need rocketing. It's a pit of timid laziness and finger pointers. Big job on but this is not the managers fault it's like a plague that's ingrained in them.

Nothing to do with Koeman. The players are gutless. Right from Barrys misplaced pass in the 1st minute, we were awful. That set the tone. Grow a pair and compete instead of standing back admiring. Woeful.

Agreed the players are an absolute gang of shithouses but I'm not having it that it's got nothing to do with Koeman. He's the manager, he better sort this crap out because he won't get the luxury of losing 5 games on the spin and getting away with it here. He works with the squad so if they aren't doing the job drop the lazy tits and give others a chance.

Agreed. We've seen it many times. Moyes with us, Ranieri last season an obvious example. If Koeman got us doing that, we'd push the top sides. But only push them in my opinion. I don't think we'd break the top 4 with out some of those teams underperforming too. Now, good players and very good players all working hard together is what makes a difference. Chelsea were a good example of that tonight.

Nailed it.

No matter who is Everton manager right now it would be basically an impossible job due to the absolute lack of quality and fight we have in our current squad. I'm sick of the vast majority of our squad. Feel little or no connection to any of them. And that's not right.

That is not to say Koeman take no blame. That would be silly. He has made a few crucial mistakes so far I reckon but has my full support unlike some of the players who don't deserve to play for Everton ever again.

But will.

WOW, just got in 5 frigging 0 !

We are going to need a massive Jan window even then this result is very damaging.

I can see the manager looking at his options in the summer.
