Ronald Koeman discussion

Our home form has vastly improved? Compared to what? We've played Spurs, stoke, boro, palace and West Ham. 11 points 8 goals 3 against. With the exception of Spurs, we should be winning the others. how can you come to the assumption that our home form has vastly improved after only 5 games. Let's review it after the next 5. Swansea, Utd,arsenal, Liverpool and Soton. You still think it will continue?

Because we've won 3 homes games already and won abar 4 last season in total.

Not even January for serious action on the pitch, Mikeh.

This lack of a good squad thing is old now.

Too many are excusing what have in the main been underwhelming performances since the getgo, despite the decent early results, on the grounds that he inherited a "bad squad".

We need to see some signs of, at the very least, not getting any worse with the squad we have now.

That is not what we are seeing.

We are seeing what many believe to be a bad squad actually getting worse.

This is unacceptable, even if the new manager has only been here a short time.

Has he actually no idea how to get the best out of Rom, Ross, Del and Kev?

It doesn't look like it to me.

Is Bolassie undropable because of the ridiculous amount of money we paid for him?

That is the way it is looking.

Is Stek going to dine out on his performance at City for the foreseeable future?

He was dreadful today, as he was at Burnley.

Is that Rom, who so far is hjaving his bvest ever start to a season mate?

Bolasie has created more than any other player we have btw

Is stek going to dine out on the city game? - you mean the game that he has played before today once sicne mate, or do you think you should drop a keeper after one dogy game -- straight after arguably one of the best ever everton keeper performances against city?

You are clutching at straws, Steven.

We are not "getting the best" out of Rom because he is not being supported enough....he might have scored even more with a fluent attacking strategy.

Bolasie cannot live on creating a couple of chances per game, and not every game at that, when the rest of the time he is verging on dreadful.

And hopefully today convinces you that Stek is what he he is.

A Saints reserve or Fulham goalkeeper.....and little or no improvement on Joel.

Or maybe you think Koeman is doing swell :pint2:

His Soton side finished 6th in a Season where leics won the league, Utd were cack, Chelsea finished mid table, Liverpool 8th. Last season was a total anomaly.

We sit in 6th after 11 games!!!!!!!!!most of which you would probably expect us to win. A few hard fixtures coming now. To say this after only 11 games is nothing short of ridiculous.

Chelsea were very good, it was the manner of our 'performance' that is the hardest to deal with. Just because Utd have been poor doesn't detract from that

He's doing better job than the other candidates!!!! That like comparing apples with oranges. Who are these candidates? Apart from De Boer. Please tell.

System? What system? Whatever the system you're talking about, you think Williams, Bolasie and Guaye suit it 'better'!!!!!!

You're Comical Ali and I claim my £10

Nah mate I just don't knee jerk after 12 games and a bad result when we are below no team worse than us and above one that should be better, craps night, craps performance and a fair few problems we need to fix but no baby out with the bath water time for me

We could have got coco the clown or Roland Rat to improve our home form then. The previous poster is using this 'improvement ' against teams we should be beating as an example Koeman is getting it right!!!

Baines is mate and really cba arguing about it with you, won 4 drew 1 with him playing at the start of the season, since he's been out won 1 drew 2 lost 3

just because he said how it was under Martinez mate, you don't have to blame him for shatteruing your brown shoe'd dreams

No mention of Cleverley, of Mori, or any other Martinez signing not being good enough though, interesting and ofc by no means an agenda is it mate?
You think Baines had a lot to do with those early wins? Fair enough. Not me. Coincidental.

Martinez signings? This team's fate hangs by a thread on just one Martinez signing. If he goes down injured we will be in massive trouble...and no Koeman signing so far will prevent it happening.

Reflecting a couple of hours later and trying to put a positive spin on things, judging by koemans tactics today I think its safe to say that, like most fans, RK knows the squad has many limitations. I'm pretty sure, due to the many great results he had away from home with Southampton, that he doesn't usually set his teams up to only have 30% possession and hope for the best. Many players days are numbered
