Or the money or that were a bigger club or that we have ambition now or that we have more than 10 fans

Or he was sick of having players sold?, hence him saying he would have to talk to the board with regards to ambition?, mad the say Southampton fans keep forgetting that bit

Generally he came here because he offered him good wages and he knew he had more freedom in the transfer market.

He knew he would have to sell key players there so given the opportunity to build instead he took it as eager as he could.

I mean Southampton have just sold a player already before they have a new manager. That sums them up perfectly.

Ronald Koeman is relishing being part of the North West’s new powerhouse of Premier League managers.

The new Everton boss joins Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho and Jurgen Klopp as high profile managers within a small radius of each other.

Guardiola is the new Manchester City boss, Mourinho has taken over at Man United while Klopp is to start his first full season at Anfield.

Everton board member Sasha Ryazantsev recently said it was vital the Blues appointed a manager with “stature” to match both Manchester clubs and Liverpool, following Roberto Martinez’s sacking.

Earlier this month, Everton secured Koeman on a three-year deal and the Dutchman is excited about the prospect of locking horns with Guardiola, Mourinho and Klopp as Blues boss.

“Guardiola is a good friend of mine,” Koeman said.

Win-win scenario.

If it all goes well, he can strut his stuff to teams like Barca and we get into the 'big show' and can attract the next tier of Manager to take us the rest of the way.

Don't really get this next tier manger lark, if he does that good with us that the likes of Barca come knocking, then he will be the next tier of manager everyone talks about, and we will be looking for someone a level below to take over, if these " next tier of managers" are available then surly they will be on Barca's radar.

I feel our new manager will want to assess the players before a big load of signings are due their will be new players, and detours to early to speculate imo

Pictures of him from today's training session giving Besic defending help makes me so happy.

Just been going through them now, he looks like he loves to get stuck in like the new gaffer doesnt he!!! very hands on, and actually seeing the defenders doing defensive work...

Amazing isn't it. They're even doing some running as well.

Training methods that havent been seen at Finch Farm for 3 seasons!
