Think he's a good manager. Not sure he'd come to us though.

In the respect that one has held his position for 5 years and the other switches his team every 1 or 2.In what respect? Because he is 8 years younger? Unless you expect a 20 year stint at the helm I think either is capable of a long term project given the chance. I just have reservations about De Boer's lack of experience in a decent league. And he looks like the type of manager that'll upsticks as soon as a 'big' club comes knocking. (Not that Koeman won't if he does that to Southampton to come to us!)
I can't agree about pace and intensity - fairly sure a team like Atletico (and most 'top tier' German teams) would molest any English team out there.
About the rest - hard to disagree, but how can a manager who's won 4 titles on the bounce and kept his team as one of the best in the country (also known for said pragmatic approach) not be a good, if not better, choice?
Southampton fans don't think we're a big enough club to tempt him.
The question is what do Everton have to offer that any number of top 6 clubs in Europe dont?

Seriously though, f*** that "decent league" crap. Mourinho came to England with no experience of the PL, Pellegrini, Mancini, Ranieri (v1), Koeman did too by the way, as did a ton of other managers who went on to do very well. Is it not time, in 2016, that people start judging managers on ability, not on "he's not managed here, he must be crap lad"?

I've only read and seen people criticising the breaking down of "lower" teams, rather than the defending, and if anything being overly defensive at times (which at this point for us would be a breathe of fresh air lol ).There's a very good reason why we don't do that well in Europe, mate.
It's down to the intensity our sides play at week-in-week-out, and the drain on energy that it takes out of them.
Atleti are a superb side, but don't face the same competitive teams in their league as, for example, City do in ours.
The only team that are having success in Europe are Liverpool due to Klopp's high-intensity game, but to keep that up for an entire season is pretty much impossible in the Prem (Leicester had to amend their style slightly from March onwards).
And which manager are you talking about sorry? De Boer?
He isn't known for his pragmatic approach - nowhere near. In fact his stubborn attitude is what he gets criticised for, and many question his ability to defend. Sound familiar?
I think he's a very good manager, and if he comes I'll be happy, but for me Koeman just edges it. Suppose time will tell.
A vacancy
You didn't, but it's an argument overused in the last... Well, since we went downhill with Boberto.I didn't say he was crap thoug did I?
And I'd be happy with De Boer as much as anyone. I don't really know why but I just prefer Koeman. I see the arguement for both and the fact Koeman has not had a long stint anywhere is a good point.
This needs to stop now Michael
The feck's a Jogi? No. Jogi. No. Party. Mate
