You mean you played less of a pressing game? Or did players come out and say "we aren't as fit!"how were they tired? we were appalling in the cups? and no way were they are fit as under the previous manager?
he does. But he also built his own side that cost about £100m or so. no other manager has had backing like that.
Pochettino delivered an 8th place finish with by far an inferior squad. by some distance
FFS....I looked at this post first and thought you were an Evertonian then.edit to my last.
A genuine ITK has just put up on our site that we should forget about AvB and FdB as they are low down on our wish list
so after that, feck knows. Reckon we will make a play for Eddie Howe. Les Reed is a massive fan etc
god knows how he would do
absolutely. as said, he is a good manager. But wasn't that 100m basically from the players that deserted Soton so he had to rebuild the team/squad. I would say that was quite impressive.
I agree in relation to Martinez but Moyes turned the club from near relegation to consistently over achieving a league position relative to our financial standing. His hard work clearly paid dividends not withstanding the fact that the trophy cabinet stayed bare. Its just as easy to suggest that Moyes and Martinez were workaholics and it didn't really produce any great substance and also could say that there stubbornness over matters derived from being workaholics. I am sure Koeman will know about the opposition and what tactics will be required in coming games.
He was a winner as a player - and given the right situation - I'd like to think he could be a winner as a manger.the incredible run also started when Forster came back from a long-term injury and kept 6 clean sheets in a row. a couple of those defied belief (arsenal away)..you know, those games when it is like a keeper is on something.
he went 3-at-the-back..which is his go-to formation and more importantly, pelle got injured (absolute lump)
then it went from there
I would wonder if he would survive with your new found wealth and owner (and your own expectations) if he goes 4 points from 10 games (8 losses)...now with an obviously improved 'top clubs'
be interesting. After all, your ambitions and expectations are greater than ours etc
Yep, he has his priority's right.OOOORRRRRR,
if he was still southampton manager, would anyone care he was on holiday right now?
its holiday time for him, leave him be, its not like there is anyone else at finch farm for him to work with lol as long as he is basically our manager that is all we needed, so come holiday time finishing he can get to work. It was when he wasn't our manager that it was an issue
Utter tosh mate.edit to my last.

how so?Utter tosh mate.
And your ITK is incorrect.
Just saying like.
doesnt koeman hold the highest win percentage of any southampton manager in the premier league era?
Not the thread to discuss this, how so?

The fact that he's been highly successful, much more so in his playing career, does not constitute evidence that he's a workaholic manager and even if he's not that does not mean he won't succeed with us as I stated.
His current behaviour, in conjunction with some things I've read about his time at Southampton however, suggests that he's not type to dedicate a lot of his time to all aspects of the job.
