Koeman would be good, but more like de boer or even pellegrini, as he will not leave the saints who will be in Europe again next season.
Well they will providing they finish higher than seventh or seventh and United win the cup. Palace winning the cup would mean seventh misses out.

Never mind who's picking the players, I think the fees for City's fees can be discounted.

Once they identify a player, the fee will be doubled just cause it's City bidding.

That shouldn't be sued as a stick to beat Pellegrini with.

I also think Otemendi has been good for them, a lot better than he's given credit for. It's just the Man City fee that makes him get criticised.

I wouldn't mind Roberts here if he comes, he'll prove to be a cracking signing for them although no one seems to mention this one.

A bit baffled that people would be happier with De Boer than Koeman. The latter has as good of a record in Holland as De Boer and crucially has actually proven himself in the Premier League.

I don't see any reason why a manager who is likely to guide Southampton to consecutive top 7 finishes would be seen as anything other than a really good appointment.

I want more than top 7.

They're absolutely certain Koeman is going nowhere down here.

Which almost make me want it to happen.

Koeman wouldn't be my first choice but it could very very funny for a bit.

To be fair I'm not a fan of acting like you can have another club's managers or players like it's nothing. I hate it when the media and opposition fans do that with us.

That said anyone who can't see why we'd be attractive is being quite dim or just willfully ignorant.

Putting aside history, we have a good squad, a billionaire on board, a new stadium in the works and we don't sell our best players every summer like Southampton.

I want more than top 7.

I may be missing something, but there seem to be a lot of people who think that because Koeman finished 7th at Southampton, that Koeman can't do better 7th than us? How does that make any sense at all?

Plus Koeman has finished 1st on a few occasions with other clubs?

I can think of plenty of managers who have won leagues and weren't good enough in the long run, and I can think of plenty of managers who have done mid table and then went on to find consistent success.

Would not be an appointment that would make me think we are pushing the boat out, but certainly could do a lot worse.

Premier League experience a big advantage. I am hoping he could build on what he has achieved, in difficult circumstances at Southampton.

I also hope that his time at Southamption has evidenced a manager who is learning from his mistakes and adapting accordingly - we all know his spells at Benfica and Valencia were pretty nondescript.

It seems he may have found his niche in English football.

The new era seems a lot more real now since the sacking, it's always an exciting period getting a new manager in, especially as it will be Moshiri's appointment.

He would have an opportunity that no other Everton manager will have had, in terms of spending power and the ability to mould a team and squad in the manner that he would wish.

Got to show some respect to Southampton though, he has not been appointed yet.
