Latest on their forum:

Everton? Everton? They're not even the biggest club in their city.

I suppose they do have that over us., that they can claim to be the biggest club in their city. What a daft argument though. So Atletico, Inter or Man City can't claim to be a big club because of who they share their City with.

All this from a club who have one top four finish in their whole history and have spent more time in the second tier than they have in the first, with 6 of the last 10 years being spent in the Championship or League 1 lol.

If they'd have admitted we're the bigger club, but it may not mean much to Koeman as he wants to stay and work with a team that he currently has in the top 7 while we're languishing in the bottom half for a second successive season, i'd have had no issue with it. But trying to ridicule us as if they're some European Giant and we're minnows is quite amusing.
haha they all need to learn to read then by starting with the honours book of every team

people should remember Liverpool the football club were Everton's offspring, we created them, they would not exist without Everton. We were first. We left Anfield. Their success is our success. We have won the champions league and have 27 titles. they cannot say the same about our success. we know this and we should remember this when people say the above :p

soton fans, bless them may be enjoying their 'success right now. sweet for them.
Erm...I'm not about to claim their titles. That sounds a bit daft, tbh.

Lads, it's Southampton.

You might as well be getting your knickers in a twist over what Northampton fans think.

Yeah, I'm also feeling disappointed. It's like when a Yorkshire Terrier barks at a bigger dog, you don't see the bigger dog bark back, it just looks at the little [Poor language removed] and moves on. Maybe wags it's tail in confusion, but no big reaction.

I've heard it mentioned a few times, these players signing new contracts has nothing to do with if Koeman is staying or going, they aren't Koeman's assets, they are the clubs, and it is the club moving to tie them down on long contracts.

It's got nothing to do with this situation, Koeman can still leave and have 100m+ to spend, if Lukaku goes add another 50m to that.

Koeman would have to be bonkers to turn us down, whoever we get, it won't be Martinez, so it's all gravy, and Soton will be put in their rightful place below us in the league this time next year.

Seriously I don't get why anyone would get riled up reading this stuff from Southampton. They're a nice little club, but little club they are and everyone knows that including them.

Southampton are a complete irrelevance in English football and there isn't anyone who genuinely believes that they are a bigger club than us.

There's an awful lot of WUM's out there obviously.

Beautiful

No need for the southern bit.

Newcastle.

Least they have won stuff. Granted its centuries ago but southampton, west ham, stoke, Swansea and all the other upstarters need piping right down. We have won and achieved more than all them combined. I'm not particularly fussed on Koeman but he would be mad to turn us down.

He's not my first choice (Have a guess who!) and I haven't seen much about Southampton apart from our matches and the Monday night football clip someone posted. Whoever comes in gets my support, but if he says no I'm not remotely bothered. We're going to get someone decent, I can feel it.

He didn't reiterate anything, he gave a generic comment that leaves the door open for him both staying and signing a new contract as well as possibly leaving.

Ps: 1 trophy in 130 years. Looooooool
Is he that good ?

You'd think you were champs league contenders the way you're going on. You finished 8th and probably 7th in two seasons. Moyes's used to do better than that most seasons on a smaller budget lol.

I'm sure barca, real and Bayern are all lining upto sign a guy who finished 2-3 positions above mid table a couple of times. Amazing

You're only too welcome to the fat toaster; you tombstoned-toothed, woodland creature-raping, yokel. We have ambition AND heritage, what have you got....Syphilis?

Do you still burn people at the stake for whistling on a tuesday, down there, spazpecker?

Everton is a big club. Soton is a lesser club we all know this. How many trophies have you won btw?

Haha, This post has made my day. Thank you Saints fan.

Silly WUM. *stifles yawn*

Oh, and by the way @Saints Fan, still bitter that we got the cruise liner terminal?

Your business selling beads to fat american tourists must've taken a hit, eh? Must be hard trying to sell yer arse to sailors up the road at Pompey when you're riddled with the clap :(

Koeman hadn't even heard of Southampton a few years ago, we were making history when he was a young lad

It's like I'm at work.
You're all aware you're replying to a member I'd already banned, yeah?

lol

Ok mate.

The candidates for top 4 next season:

Leicester/Ranieri = current champions
Spurs/Poch = strongest Spurs side in living memory, backed up by healthy funds
Arsenal/Wenger = never seem to miss out on top 4
Man City/Guardiola = the world's best coach with one of the world's richest clubs
Man Utd/? = the most successful club in history looking to return to dominance
Chelsea/Conte = a point to prove after a disappointing season
Liverpool/Klopp = same as Chelsea
Everton/? = same as above

Not sure how that relates to what I'm saying. How does this list, that you could also have written before last season and every previous one, suggest Koeman is any less likely than other candidates to challenge for the top 4 here?
