That's true,but to be fair to him coming in mid-season to take over a team that had been dire under Flores didn't give him the best chance.And at the time they had a squad very like ours now,talented but didn't perform.And don't forget the pressure on managers in La Liga is unreal,you can get fired the day after winning the title
I'd rather look at him from the prospective of what he did at Soton after having the squad stripped and having to start with a new group (which might very well be the scenario here).

No doubt he has an eye for a player , plays quick attractive football but when it falters its spectacular.Big fall outs with players dont help.
I see him as a "current flavour of the month "manager.......if it was before Xmas nobody would bat an eyelid. Think we can do better tbh.
