Hope is a powerful emotion mate. Finally feeling that after a very long time of being told plucky little Everton finishing 6th is a good season definitely clouded my judgement for sure, but aspiring for Top 6 TODAY isn't what we should be aspiring for.
Cultist is definitely a harsh term on those that clung to the hope that happened in the first season. That win at Old Trafford and even more so in terms of hope, the Arsenal 3-0 win had us actually dreaming of what might be. In the end it didn't work out...I will leave it, but I do think his leash was extremely short with far too many...even in season 1...the rumbles existed from day 1.
Anyway...this thread is about Koeman and the flaccid meter attached to it. I'm firmly in the flaccid column with regards to him progressing the club to a title winner/trophy winner.
