Rooney Won't Sign

Would you have him back on a free?

Hell Yes! With someone with the ability of Rooney up front we'd be challenging for the title, especially if we get our right wing fully sorted out. I'm not sure whether I can see him moving abroad though, it just doesn't seem likely, or at least it shouldn't be as very few English players recently have moved abroad from the PL and actually been successful (I'm looking at you Mr. Owen and Mr. Beckham) so I'm not sure whether going abroad would be a sensible move for him.

Have to be a bit bitter to say no to having him back, but we know they'll always be people that won't want him.

To say you wouldn't want one of the best players in the world at Everton because of a choice he made as a 17 year old is up to you.

Never gonna happen (for at least 6 years) but it would be pretty good.

Don't make me laugh!

Well they are, regardless of their current situation. They have a world reputation, the fact that it's all gone tits up and they have a poor manager with players who can't be arsed can't deflect away from the fact that they can still attract what we can't.

But saying that, we can get there, and it starts right now.

COYB.

i was hoping this would happen when he left- i dont believe he ever wanted to go but was pushed out coz we were skint- i`ve never given him stick and never will. the money we got from his sale saved us - he gives everything for whoever he plays for and hopefully his man u days are coming to an end. I would love to have him back, but he would have to understand that it was on our terms and that he would have to win back everyones affection.

Rooney on form and flying would be great, Rooney pissing about, having a pop at the manager and upsetting the spirit of the team would not, and if I am being honest you have to wonder about why any United player would deliberately start a public spat with Ferguson. Indeed given recent history, and its similarity to what forced him from our club, you have to wonder whether or not this is being stoked by other parties in order to force a sale.

Nah. That conspiracy bollocks "it wuz the club" is [Poor language removed].

He left for money. Stretford and co made sure of that.

He's been a bell end.

Stabbed our club in the back.

If he came back and got on with it fair enough. But I'll never be shouting that.

But Everton proved the point. We're better than Wayne Rooney.

In your opinion.

You saying he was a bellend I mean.

I have no doubt he left for the money, I would have done the same. Doesn't make anyone a bad person for leaving for more money. he's never stopped being an Evertonian though.

Greed is not a virtue.

You really are one blinkered little **** you aren't you?

I never used to take much notice in the England threads. But you seem to excuse anything if it suits your agendas.

He's been a disgrace to our club with some of his comments and behaviour. And I'm not just going to forget it. Because Everton is better than that. And deserved better than his behaviour.

The great thing is we are better now too.

But he won't come here anyway. He'll go abroad.

Id have him back on a free but he would have to work his arse off for us i mean give everything hes got and then i might forgive him .

Lets do a redshite thing and send him thousands of e mails telling him to come home oh i forget we dont do that were EVERTON we dont beg . If he wants to come he can its his decision .
