Sure, I don't care about Rooney's private life, either. Though I hope theres some good chants at the game next week,

But, Wayne knows how the world works. If being reported acting like a [Poor language removed] throws off his game, then, as the most famous footballer in the country, maybe he shouldn't act like a [Poor language removed]. It's not like he's going to be surprised that anyone cared.

Well that's like saying, if you hang out with sex offenders - bad things will happen to you. I see what your saying and he's a tit - no mistake about it. But it's the timing and the reason why they have done it that harks me off.

What Rooney does in his private life is in his private life. I don't believe any of this nonsense that the public have a right to know. They don't. What if Rooney come around to your house and started asking you what you did last night down Doggers Lane? You'd tell him to do one. For me it's the same. Rooney is a paid professional doing a job and that is the only element of his life that should be accessible to the public. Anything private, is private. When the press start harping on about how it's in the publics best interests all the time - it really grinds me.

For once I would like to pick up The Mirror and not read crap. Kerry Katona does this, Jordan does that, Day 37 Jade is nearly dead. You know what I mean? It's just disgusting, and they pass themselves off as impressive people.

I completely agree with you. I feel no sympathy for him, or anyone caught in this kind of situation, but I completely agree.

Although I don't understand the obsession with "celebrities" and their private lives, myself.

Oh its pathetic. It used to be sensational storylines, but now there are that many magazines out there - how much crap can Kerry Katona do in her life to warrant so much exposure?

Now, I don't know much about Ms Katona, but I do know that it's all cyclical. These rags have found a way to create crap, process it, sell it for profit, and then process the subsequent crap, and sell that.

and they call us Bitters, god only knows why?

Yes it is his private life, but he should be smart enough to know that some prostitute is going to sell her story. No one could care about you and me and our private lives, however Rooney lives a different life mate.

It is a bit of a trade off as far as I can see.

The market demands enables Rooney to get paid [Poor language removed] loads of money from man utd wages and sponsors and makes him the footballing face of a nation. Wouldn't we all love to be in his shoes?

However the market demands makes any "juicy" info on his private life worth money. He should know that and he deserves any media attention he gets if his cheating with a 1k hooker. The media aren't doing anything wrong, people will buy and read their papers because of this story, job done as far as their concerned.

So like I said it is a bit of a trade off,the good being a footballing superstar with wages we could only dream of having. The bad being: Sadly he can't be banging hookers behind his wifes back, because people will pay to hear about it.

If you say that the only part of his life that is open to the media should be his footballing career...well you're going against market demand. And if you do that you might as well take away a lot of his wages, it might just help Man Utd and all their debt. As that is created by market demands aswell.

The kid sold himself out a long time ago, take the good with the bad.
