Ross Barkley joins Chelsea, er, Villa on loan

It’s so blatantly obvious that Chelsea will sell him to West Ham for £25m and he’ll become the new Mark Noble
 
One of the saddest days for me as an Evertonian. The fact we couldn't keep a player like this is disgusting, and the fact he's been moved on to afford a striker in return is a massive indictment on Moshiri.

Yes, there's going to be other factors as to why he's going, and I'm not going to make excuses for him. But ultimately two facts are certain - a local lad didn't see his long term at Everton, and we had to sell to buy another player.

Disgusting.
 
Sake! Impeccable timing as ever, right before a trip to the Pit as we haggle over a deal for an unknown Turk. It should not be a shock anymore but no-one shoots themselves in the foot like us.

Don't think it's coincidental myself. Nobody really gives a toss about the derby now; result was already a foregone conclusion in all likelihood - this news overshadows whatever hiding we get as it's the definition of "the bigger picture".
 

Given Lampards shirt number apparantly, pretty big deal that and a sign they view him a bit more seriously than people here seem to think.
 
I dont care who it is, if someone wants out of our club then tara...its goodbye not au revoir. The grass is always greener. Im sure the "faahkinell" section of the 'Bridge fans will love Barkley i) if he actually plays well with any frequency ii) if he replicates that Newcastle goal. But he wont last 5 minutes with that same section when he does his clumsy Jethro Bodene routine when Eden Hazard is weaving round the box.
