Where did he say it wasn’t his choice to leave ? Clearly Barkley didn’t feel Everton was the right club for him so the question has to be asked, why didn’t he feel the club was right for him ? Most likely it’s because we’re gash and his career has gone backwards in the past couple seasons.

Then why did he not sign for Chelsea in the summer?

Because they probably told him to wait until January once they realised he’d be out injured until then. Why spunk £35m on someone who can’t play when you can get him for £15m in a few months without the injury.

Yes entirely Everton’s fault he hasn’t kicked on to become something greater.

Both parties at fault here to some degree, let’s not get our parties in a twist over who is more to blame. Some of you sound like FIFA virgins who have never seen a proper transfer before.

No they were in before he was injured as far as I remember. still screwed us.
 

Love football. Hate drama queen over reactions that goes with it.
Barkley scorned when he played and scorned when he left.
Doubled his money joined a better team with more ambition. A lot of Fans here didn’t rate him (or lukaku). Same fans call him a snake for leaving.
 
Just another day as an Everton supporter. Good, bad, great, embarrassing, arsed, not arsed, I just don't know anymore.

I'm mad about Barkley leaving because I actually did rate him as a player and wanted him to stay with us, plus we badly need him right now.

This I understand. The fans wanting to cal him everything under the sun when he played here that still want to moan about him leaving. They’re the ones doing my head in
