Ross Barkley joins Chelsea, er, Villa on loan

It brings me no pleasure to be right about Barkley. I wanted him to fail when he left but knew he wouldn't, as he's a quality player.

So yeah, unlike with Rom where I must admit I do chuckle at being spectacularly right about him, with Ross it's a different story.

I still hope his career nosedives. But it won't.

If you'd had your way, we wouldn't have even signed Lukaku. You then went on to say you'd have Cenk Tosun over him. You've never been so emphatically wrong about any topic you've ever posted about on here.

Yeah, becsause RB has never scored fantastic goals before, so there's some doubt on whether he can do that.

Lol.
He'll never score them goals again Dave, he stopped going past players when Martinez left, he's not got the bottle anymore.

His absolutely best asset, the one that stood him apart from every other English midfielder was his capability to dribble past players with both feet at pace, the street baller he was has been replaced with a bottleless tippy tappy passer who is there to move the ball along and give it to those with the skill and belief to do something positive with the ball.

And that's the double truth and you know it.

I was delighted we signed Lukaku.

So wrong again pal.

That ability is still there. Atm he's still getting his reputation back after the mauling it took at Everton under Koeman and under Conte last season. How on earth do you figure that he cant do those surging runs anymore? He hasn't turned from 30 to 32, he's turned from 22 to 24.

He comes across as a beaut tbh, constantly trying to never mention his Everton career. He'll never be anything but a squad player for them so NEA.
