Ross Barkley joins Chelsea, er, Villa on loan

He’s starting to find form again.

Nailed on to score against us and he will kiss the badge.

Wouldn’t blame him the way some have treated him tbh. Much like the Rooney situation.

Amazing how history gets rewritten on here isn't it...

Fantastic thread. You won’t find Dave giving higher praise to any Everton player than the one that snaked us off and now plays for a side built off Soviet Criminals.

But in Daves mind, the criminal is our own Chairman, the enemy the former regime, the martyr the regime ousted corruptably before that, and the victim, oh the poor victim, a hapless simple snake of a fool who is in actual fact, a genius he’d happily see succesful over our very own.

Dave’s mind is truly the upside-down.

Rooney is the best example of an academy product who went on to achieve greater things. Barkley's not quite got there yet.
Ey? Who said they weren't good enough for Everton?

You know, other than the odd crazy.
Our own fans?

Also, comparing him to Lampard is a bit much. Give him at least one more season before wheeling out those comparisons (and yes, I feel the same about Pickford being the new Big Nev).

Doing well in a team most thought he'd have no hope in getting into.

More of an indictment of the club that Ross, Rom, Stones weren't "good enough" for us but now play for sides we want to get near to
Thing is you have just listed three players the club wanted to keep and did all they could to do so but they refused to stay, and also they might play for sides we want to get near but only Stones and Barkley are holding there own at that level

I remember plenty of people being happy we upgraded to the “proven premier league defender” Williams after selling Stones. Sell stones for £50m, get Williams for £10m. Bargain !

Fun times.
I still have a soft spot for John. As I said though, you do get the odd crazy who hated Lukaku because he couldn't control a ball but scores 20 goals a season in his sleep.

Sad about, Stones, Lukaku and Barkley leaving for higher profile and let's face it better clubs with better players, but fine that's the way it is with most clubs in most league's.

The top clubs always cherry pick the best players from below them, that's what makes them the top club's. What I can't understand is why it's In our case, Evertons owners fault or our fan's fault. These players wanted to leave and its almost impossible to keep unhappy players.

There are cases of Suarez, Torres and even Can ( who's crap anyway) leaving Liverpool, Arsenal have lost countless players over the years and even Man United lost one of the best players in the world, Ronaldo, also Tevez to Man City. It happens but in most cases, fans accept it or blame the "greedy players" , but not on here, it's Evertons fault or the fans fault, weird really it's as if some on here love it when they can find a stick big enough to beat the club or other fan's with.
