Ross Barkley

Correct. You don't get anywhere selling your best players. You just end up wasting your cash on more average players like Spurs and the rednecks have. Rooney is probably one of the best bargain signings in history.

It all depends how the money from sales is spent, Everton have done quite well through selling players and reinvesting the money in the squad in recent years, Southampton don't seem to be doing too bad after doing so as well. The sale of Fellaini benefited us immensely, for example.

I personally think that three quality 20 million pound players would make our team stronger than having one Ross Barkley. My fear is that the money from selling Ross will go towards a new stadium.

PROBLEM. I'm desperate to see Ross and jags make an appearance and do well this evening, but don't think I can take another injury.

Nah.

I mean we're not gonna go out and try and buy Isco, but there's top notch players we could attract, look at Eriksen, everyone knew who he was and it was easy for Spurs to attract him because of where he was.

But erikson cost £10 mil and isn't world class that's the point mate. If Barkley is to develop into a world class player and win us games then be sold ala suarez and bale. The type of player that would be at his level are your world class players who we couldn't attract.

Our best hope would be to sign 2-3 erikson and Tadic £15-20 mil first team type players then 1-2 solid £8-10 mil players who can be strong and quality squad additions

He's potentially the best midfielder of his type in the country,"potential" being the word, its like a game of roulette, who knows what the future may hold,in two/three years we could all be saying we should have grabbed the dough while we could, however IMHO if we want to start acting like the "old" Everton,we have to bat off these bids and build for the future with the likes of Ross, knowing that he actually believes we can take him and his career where he wants to be.

Every player has a price you'd be willing to sell him at. Fortunately for us I believe the price we're willing to sell Ross at isn't anywhere near the price any other club is willing to pay for him.

I think he is worth a lot more to Everton than he would be to any other club, as strange as that sounds.
