I'm sorry but after the last 10 performances or so from Barkley i'm starting to think he actually just isn't that good?

Every game we see him in, yeah he can carry a ball sideways for 20 yards, but then he screws up a basic pass - or tries the nice pass that hasn't ever come off for him once. He doesn't get assists, he doesn't score. He just loses the ball and i'm genuinely fed up with it, 60m? laughing.

edit;Ok sorry deffo a bit of knee jerk here if I'm honest, but the hype we give him is too much.

Yep, seems it. Sterling seems to go down about 10 times a game and never get booked.

i dont doubt barkley at all, we've seen what he can do... on his day he's immense. The problem is he's out of form, he'll come good.

I thought he looked quite good in the deeper position. Can definitely see why people see his long term position as playing there.
He came on and gave us impetus and some added quality in the final third.

Same. Wouldn't mind seeing him play there more often, with a more agile and creative Spanish midget type player behind Lukaku
