When Barkley starts and so does Naismith or eto (early on in the season) we never do well

Would someone care to find out our form when more than 1 of the players mentioned start the game?

So...

Barkley Naismith eto
? Naismith eto
Naismith Barkley
? Barkley eto

I have a feeling it's very bad. Only remember winning once at Burnley

This is down to the factthhey all take up similar positions and are not wingers!
We need 2 wingers on the pitch as mentioned by a lot of people on here.

It's really not rocket science is it. Barkley and naismith/ettoo just get in each other's way. Everyone has noticed this all season, yet the Catalan clown keeps making the same mistakes over and over again!

Also think pienaar has been a big miss for barkley. One of few players who's capable of quick thinking 1 touch football. Must be like playing football with a kid trying 1-2's with naismith and lukaku!

Remember when he played with Mo in centre midfield against QPR and he ran the show... Martinez then decided to play him on the wing.

head + wall = Everton
That's because Mo is a good technical footballer that he can link up passes with. I really think that a big reason in Barkley's drop in form is due to crap around him.

It will be very interesting how he does in a midfield three of him, McCarthy and Besic with Lennon and Kev on the wings. We might see the real Ross Barkley in that game.

I thought Ross looked unfit? He's gone backwards on his performances last season. But then so has everyone hence the massive points difference this time last year

I think the very public criticism from Hodgson last Summer and the video from the friendly earlier this season has really got to him. Add in the fact that he was injured at the start of the season and then has been moved position time and again all season. His confidence looks shot.

He played against QPR in a deeper role and really speaking he should have been given the opportunity to stay there and build on that, but instead he was pushed wide left for the next game. For all Martinez' great handling of him last season, he's really messed up with him this season.

Interesting post above regarding Naismith. I think Barkley would get a better return pass from a wall than from Naismith in truth and the wall wouldn't keep occupying his space and cutting the game off by cutting inside either.

I understand you like Barkley, which is fair enough, but you saying he played very well is a figment of your imagination, and unfortunately does not make it true.
No doubt you will respond accordingly, but no matter how many times you say it, you will still be wrong.

Nope you are wrong. Great contribution to the site btw....

He was the only player that looks to try and creat something. He moves the ball all over the place, and created and opening for Rom.
