Agreed, think he's best in the free role, bossing it behind Rom- but let's be honest he's got the technique, pace, strength and whatnot to do alright wide left- just not the cojones. I swear if he got a bollocking we'd see him chasing back, making tackles and shrugging off the likes of Yaya Toure a la Goodison last year... his performance against City was unreal and is why they've wanted to sign him ever since. If I remember rightly they brought Fernandinho on for Aguero to man-mark him and he was still pulling the strings.

All of this patronising "You're only young" and "We want to protect you" bullshit from Bobby ain't getting him nowhere and he looks more and more afraid by the game. He needs firing up oi reckon

I still think he's class though. Was all over Young Boys last week like a rash.

Played well against Bern, too. (I'll get my coat)

Yeah see your point I don't think Martinez is strong enough and that's why a lot of our players are treading water this season.

I think you misunderstood me. Barkley has the ability to go past 3 players but it is in the midfield when he can run with pace and power. There are very few instances of him getting through a packed box when he is starting from a stand still.

Also I shouldn't say he doesn't have the ability, he probably has the best set of skill moves/tools of anyone on the team except possibly Mirallas, but he hasn't shown to be able to consistently beat a defender and create a shot in the box like say a Hazard, Silva (I know it's silly comparing to a world class player) but that is what we are missing from the team. If Ross can add that then he will be our automatic 10. For now though he needs to split time or work on playing deeper.
 
He's got skills, but he's no where near the level our hype machine has put on him.
I think Stones is above Barkley in terms of youngsters importance to our team.

If Ross doesn't play, im a bit gutted in case he does a long shot when he's not off balance, and it goes close, but I don't expect him to score or get an assist.

When Stones doesn't play.. I expect to lose.
 
A terrible footballer, who should be sold at the first bid we get.

Not a competition is it?

Stones success is independant of Ross'.

At the minute I would agree Stones is doing better but that doesn't Ross is never going to make it, it's just as of now Stones is in better form.
