Ball and Rooney were two very special talents, I don't necessarily think he'll be that level. As for Stones, he's a very mature player for his age, he plays like seasoned veteran! There's also been plenty of top players who had slumps as a youngster, in fact a lot of top players were nowhere at 21. It's just my opinion, though, I've got a feeling he'll start producing some top stuff soon.....Alan Ball was MoM in a World Cup Final at 21, then moved to us and impacted every game he played. Rooney was doing similar from 16 years of age, John Stones is a youngster and has more good games than bad. Age isn't an excuse.

I think we all do! Starting with a cold, wet night at the Britannia tomorrow would be good!.....genuinely hope you're right, Barkley.
Do not think he will play - not start anywayI think we all do! Starting with a cold, wet night at the Britannia tomorrow would be good!
Reading through these comments, why does he get more of a let off than everyone else? When Rom's crap people slate him for it and say he's awful. When Ross is crap it's because of the team around him or he's still young so he'll come good? Rom has made a much better impact for us this season than Barkley has, and yet he get's a lot more crap from the fans. They're both 21... Is it because Ross is English?
And the other some here rate as almost twice that...No, its cos we paid 28m for 1 of them.
