We have a fantastic squad of mainly internationals.
Yes we have had injuries like everybody else and we have good cover.
Since December we have had a good run on the injury front.
I am not saying drop them Martinez needs to manage them better.
Some might need a good telling off but he is letting good players get away with not giving their best.
How many of our players do you think are playing to their potential?
You don't know what happens behind closed doors. Don't know what is said between players and managers.
Despite a "good run" on the injury front we've still got 6 players out injured currently with another couple only making their way back now. Fair enough to say that we have had a torrid time that has exposed a lack of quality in depth
Mirallas is still playing with a toe injury.
Last season players came in and contributed effectively. We now have aging players that are past it that were key to us last year and some players have failed to step up to the plate and contribute. Then when you add lots of injuries into the mix it becomes hard to gain any momentum.
Senior players have been unable to do the basics.
It's all good to say that this or that should have happened, as we have foresight.
But you make the best of the cards you are dealt and look back and go yeah that was a mistake. The season is filled with could and should have done better and differently. But you learn from mistakes and move forward.
As for players playing to their potential, none have been. They lack form and confidence, which is tied to momentum in a two way relationship.
The season has not been anywhere good enough. But there is time and opportunity for the manager to make what changes need to be made, to get us out of this hole.
You don't need to get arsy.
Glad you think everything is ok
As for this, I find highly ironic that you accuse me of getting arsy in an arsy tone. This forum is here to discuss Everton with other Evertonians. We will have different opinions on different aspects of our club and performance, and as such will see disagreements. Don't see any point to resorting to name calling here in the amicable discussion we were having.
