I'm not sure you can disregard the importance of scoring a goal though. Naismith looks like he might score in a game, Ross doesn't. You have to take that into account.

Played really well in this game. I thought he did well against Kiev and was unlucky when he was taken off. The opposite was the case in this game. When he came on Newcastle where chasing and he had loads of space.

Still again what was more important was that he showed more effort and acceleration plus his passing was crisp. Martinez is starting to manage him right by taking him out now and again when his form drops.

....yep, I've been critical but he came on and had a positive impact. Well taken goal, strange how certain players score against certain teams.
