Yes he's got his critics and yes, he makes the wrong decision at times but, Christ, the lad has got so much talent.

Why not put a player in a position to succeed instead of playing everyone out of position? In no way/shape/form is Barkley a better player this season than at any point last year. How is this something that should be celebrated?

It's not, I've never said it was. Barkley has been the weak link this season. I'm just stating why Martinez has persisted.

He's either thinking he should skin 5 players because that's what people want to see...or pick the easy pass and build.

Agreed. (All too common) Example: He's got two players ahead of him & everyone watches him looking up & seeing them, but then he'll take an age looking for the non-existent third - sometimes a fourth! When the third player doesn't turn up, he'll run into a heavily marked zone (Usually he's been closed down) & end up losing possession.

Unless he fires off a ball to the two ahead that's easily cut out.

I've lost patience with him. Time to have a rich club over before they gets wise. Only thing giving him value at the moment, is his nationality imo.
