hopefully he can refresh with some time off for the first time in over 2 years and get some confidence back in pre-season. because my god he was awful today and has had a terrible season. same can be said about the large majority of our squad. it was a first WC for a few of them tbh, then again the irish lads didn't have it and were hardly any better.

We were getting overrun in midfield though and Barkley wasn't doing enough defensively to stop that. Either Osman, Barkley or Mirallas had to be taken off for Besic, Mirallas scores goals and Osman is more decisive so Barkley got sacrificed.

I agreed with bringing Besic on, just think it should have been a straight swap for Barry rather than changing shape and taking off Barkley.

Ross' 2nd full season, hampered by injury and playing in different positions.
Big regroup for the summer, new players, he'll turn up again.

His season has been hampered by having an injury and also playing in a team where other players have failed to achieve the form of previous seasons. A longer break this summer without World Cup football will surely benefit our international players. I will be glad when the forthcoming international games are over.

Today he was getting dragged too deep in midfield when he should have been supporting lukaku. He does not need to be doing defensive work as he cant tackle.
Thats a problem tho, you can accept that from your #10 and your striker. Ross isnt a #10. Cant have 3-4 players doing literally no defensive work.

We all know from the season before the potential Ross has ,big question now is what does he give to a team that this season has been abysmal... himself included..Please someone within the club whilst we have finished this crap season give Ross some Alan Ball vids. see can he learn from them cos the coaching he has received this season certainly hasn,t worked.
Again i refer to the fact its team game so not one individual should hold responsibility for the shambles we have witnessed these last 38 games.
