I would agree with this. I think people are looking back at his performances last season with Rose tinted glasses. I was just looking at the 'player of the year' thread from towards the end of last season. Over 400 votes submitted - not a single one for Ross.

Show me where I called him rubbish. You can also regale me with his 'great' games he's had for England. It's a bit strange he's in the full squad tbh.

If he plays with a good midfield then judge him, too much responsibility for a young player in that blues midfield whic is static so much so old Osman led the way, RB looks lost I was surprised he was picked roll on next season we need someone to blend in with him and two outlets in front of our full backs, on the wing- bin Barry for starters imo!
As for you saying he is not rubbish you are having a right go at him!

Are you joking Barry , and Macathy did sod all in the first half but chase shadows , and as bad as RB as bad as he was created two chances, playing with Osman!in a two man midfield his pass to KM should have been 1-0 to us!
 

He's got the annoying habit of picking the ball up and running along on an imaginary line about 20 yards out and going pretty much nowhere.

He's strong enough and technically good enough to make that run and make something of it, but needs to find a pass to play otherwise it's very easily defended against. It's by no means all his fault, because most of the time no-ones making a run, or even looking like making a move to receive the ball. If someone would make a move now and then it'd give the defenders something to think about and might even give him a bit of room to get a decent shot off occassionally.

At the moment he either runs out of space and ends up losing the ball, or takes a really speculative shot which is easily blocked.

Needs working on in training as much as anything.
