It never effected them as bad as ross, had the reverse effect on a few of them in it fired them up a little too much, but never did there heads drop so much

Maybe they were just playing in better teams and when they retreated into their shell others were able to take up the slack.

I think the problem with Ross is when he starts a game he is almost expecting the criticism from the crowd. The others talked about earlier played knowing they were afforded the space with the crowd to make mistakes.
Barkley needs to have flawless games, and a period of games were he performs above his years and capabilities.....This isn't going to happen due to his age and his ongoing development. It can improve if certain areas of our crowd realise we have a young player who could be a gem, but we need to afford him the time to make mistakes and learn from them.
If it continues all we will see is our best young player since Rooney falter and maybe look elsewhere to resurrect his promising carreer

Precisely. And while I'm at it, can we please distinguish between boos and groans. Barkley gets lots of the latter (basically because he's still making numerous mistakes), but I have yet to hear any of the former directed his way.
