Hey, I don't often get off the fence on a footballer unless it's Leon Snitch Osman, but that's how I feel about him, I wish he would become the next Messi don't get me wrong.

Stick to cricket baldy.I think he'll end up somewhere like there within the next 3 years. Just can't see him living up to the hype. I know you're joking, but I'm not, he's got the talent but no application.

So it's either 'the next Messi' or Sunderland, huh?
Its a brave shout and based on last season I would prolly agree, but ive seen enough, hes never gonna be Messi, but the lad has bags of talent and at some point we might get a manager that can manage his talent properly.
Stick to cricket baldy.
Not at all, could be Stoke, they finished above us last season.

Well, yeah, if they will also finish above us for the next 3 seasons, he might go there, y'know, to a more successful club.
Who knows, we're in a turbulent time at the moment.
Ross is a boss youtube clip footballer at the moment, but his team play in the position he plays is sorely lacking, the improvement needs to come with working with the other 10 players on the field.
And what position does he play exactly? Does anyone know really?
Psssst, the expression is 'two cents'I wouldnt say that mate, i think if anything Martinez is the one who has been the genisis of his development and i like that he has kept faithwith him through out the season. I think your right though Fergie would have slapped 40 mill on the table all ready.
For my money this season has been difficult for Ross for a few reasons - it was his first conscutive season, teams were more aware of his threat and game, he went away to the world cup and didnt get the rest he required physically and mentally, this coincided with injury and a disjointed pre season which was vital in essence it think all of things contributed to patchy form. I always think its amazing how older players like Gerrard and Lampards mins are managed with international VS Club commitments - but the likes of Barkley just get flogged. I am also going to call that this is going to be a difficult season for Stones for the same reasons.
For my money i think his best position is the player behind the player behind the striker, i think he can play on the flank with full back over lapping but see that position as he he can move into if required insted of being his primary one. Lads of Ross's skill have to have the ability to be flexible i terms of position and move about the pitch depending on how they are being marked, where the space is - that part of the tactical part of the game and i think he is learning that as part of his development. As for being a no 10 i think he will grow nto that role, but i dont think he will ever have a fixed position, which is a good thing he can play behind the striker, on the flank (inside forward) or third quater of the midfield plymaking form deep - i think he may even take up different positions in game as time goes on.
Just my two sense anyway.
Midfield mate.
I no longer mskizzle lard. But Ross Barkley you know?Stick to being on topic Mcat or we'll lose you for another couple of weeks and that would hurt me so
