If we're going to go with the system I suggested, the playmaker if have in mind is someone who can find a pocket of space and thread a ball through a congested defence on the edge of the box to Lukaku. They wouldn't need to be pacey because we have that in Mirallas and Del.

For all I know Martinez has a completely different idea. Since he's the professional manager I'll leave it to him.

People seem to forget that Ross has missed about a year of development when he broke his leg.

Will take a little time for him to get back on track, he had a poor season last year, that injury on the eve must have knocked the lad for 6.

Hes an outstanding talent, he just needs to start believing that.

This has nothing to do with dog years and exchange rates you patronising bell.

Yes he is still only 21
Yes he's been mis-managed by being played out of position etc
Yes the team as a whole were poor last season
Yes I do believe he has brilliant natural talent

But...
He has played two full seasons and hasn't really developed.
When he has played in his 'proper/favoured' position he's been poor 90% of the time.

I hope as much as anyone that he becomes what he is capable of. But at the moment the jury is very much out.
