Alright fellas, apologises for what you had to witness last night, we were awful again and showed up by a better side. Barkley played well first half but was anonymous second in my opinion, then again he can't do much when the players around him just can't do the basics right.
Don't read Owlstalk, it's full of reactionary idiots who don't have a clue about football, most Wednesday fans will know Barkley has been one of our best players this season adds without him we'd be in a much worse position.
Out of curiosity, how did you lot think we played last night? Shocking or is that just me over exaggerating?

I thought they only looked the better side in the final 3rd TBH mate. More than a few times you were in decent positions and poor decision making cost you the chance of opening them up or getting a shot in on goal. One in particular Bothroyd tried a turning half-volley when Ross was on the edge of the box and a simple lay off would have seen him with a good chance.
One thing you desperately need is a bit of bite at CB and CM. Your lads don't look hungry at all in them positions, CB's especially, far too slow to react to everything around them and didn't look that arsed when you conceded. Ironically I was watching it thinking Shane Duffy would be immense for these.
Why are people kneejerking like this after every game he plays?
He's had a run of three or four very good games, leading people to believe in him and want him back as an option for us, but he had a bit of a stinker against Boro in a game where the entire Wednesday side didn't show up and suddenly he's not good enough for Everton again!
The truth is that he's not going to walk into the Everton side for a good two years, simply because of his age and the position he plays. But he's good enough to be coming on from the bench now. That said, 90 minutes at Wednesday each week is clearly doing him good so he should be left there til the end of the season if injuries allow it.
He's not going to dazzle every game, because if the side as a whole don't have the ball then he can't do anything with the ball.
people said the same thing about rodwell, and look what happened to him, from what was seen of him at 16 he should of been a established first team player at 18, he had the intelligence, ability and you could see from his interviews how mature he was for his age.
If a team like united, arsenal Liverpool or spurs had a player of his calibre they would stick him straight in the first team and give him a run, no one is asking to give him a full season just a run of 10-12 games to see how he goes.
Moyes even did this to rooney ffs.
There is a difference between giving a young striker a run of games and giving a young CM a run of games. The only CM position that is up for grabs at the moment is Nevilles, and Barkley can't play that sort of role at present.
