Got a feeling Naismith will play in the hole on Saturday with Fellaini being out. I dont mind that as i dont think Naismith will ever be a PL wide man, but i do think Barkley has shown us glimpses of what he can do at Sheff Wed.

Would be nice for him to get a few games... Liverpool seem to be doing it with loads of their players, hopefully Moyes will too with Ross.

I'd definitely prefer Naismith there, he's one of those forwards like McFadden or Kuyt that somehow people think can play wide.

Moyes: "Hello Ross! Welcome back son, giz a hug!"

Moyes: "You done really well at Wednesday lad, we're real proud of you, did you enjoy it?"

Moyes: "Ahh, that's brilliant, and you're clearly the better player for it aren't you? Still got your scarf mate?"

Moyes: "Anyways, as you know Pip will be out injured for some time, you're probably thinking that you might get a chance to play regularly for us now? Well unfortunately i've decided to give Nigel Reo-Coker a contract until Phil returns from injury..."

Barkley Returns

Ross Barkley is to return to Everton after his loan deal with Sheffield Wednesday expired.

The 18-year-old has been with the Championship outfit since mid-September but will now head back to Goodison Park with immediate effect.

Barkley initially moved to Hillsborough on a one-month deal – an agreement which was later extended by a further four weeks.

That contract came to an end following the Owls’ 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest on Saturday and the Blues have decided to bring the youngster back to Merseyside.

Everton have been hit by the news that captain Phil Neville will be out for up two months after undergoing knee surgery on Friday.

And with Darron Gibson still nursing his way back from a thigh injury and Kevin Mirallas also out due to a hamstring strain, manager David Moyes’ midfield options have been depleted.

Barkley made 12 starts and one substitute appearance for the Owls, scoring four goals.

Couldn't have happened at a better time what with Fellaini's suspension and injuries. I hope he is in Moyes' plans for saturday considering his form for The Owls. A midfield of Piennaar, Barkley, Gibson/Hitz and Osman could well be boss

The fact that Barkley has had to be recalled from what was becoming a good situation for him so that he can sit on the bench rather throws cold water on the 'We dont need any players in January' argument.
