I can only offer conjecture regards not playing him so I wont. As for tactics and the choice to bring in JH instead of Barkley I would put it down to two things, the game was getting away from us and we needed to stall that with some more defensive nouse, and totally unrelated I reckon JH has to be in the shop window if were going to get rid wheather he is playing well or not. Oh and im 36 and can run around for 90 mins and dont do much exercise these guys are pros. You fade when your legs go not when you hit a specific age. Dads army were awesome btw. kept the Germans out of the south you know.

Majority on here are blind. They all give me red dots because I think Barkley should start ahead of Hitzlsperger and Heitinga and should have been given more opportunities.

Im all for Moyes he is the right man. But his treatment and lack of faith in Barkley pisses me off.
Anyone with half a footballing brain can see hes got more talent about him than the majority of the experienced players. You would have to be blind to question it.

Barkley can only go back on loan to Wednesday, as he has already played for two clubs this season.
I think some people are expecting too much from him. He is being hyped up as the next Paul Gascoigne, whereas I see him as the next Leon Osman, which is a compliment and not an insult.
Osman didn't break through to Everton's first team until he was about 23, and I think it will take Barkley a similar period of time before he becomes good enough and reliable enough to be starting premier league games.

When Barkley makes a good pass, it's a good pass.
When Osman makes the same pass it's a moment of genius, he becomes MoM, and retains his place for another season automatically.

Barkley is still so young and Moyes clearly thinks he isn't ready. He came back from his loan because we were short on numbers.
Would make sense for him to go back soon enough.
You see him as the next Leon Osman aswell? Hmm he wont come good until hes 30 then. He'll just be a good squad player for 6-7 years then finally excell.

Based on what? Nothing but hype, I'm afraid.
People are saying that all the Wednesday fans were raving about his performances in the Championship, but they weren't. They could tell that they had a good player on their hands, in a similar way to how Derby fans could tell that Osman was going to be a good player, but they were also making comments about how he is defensively suspect.
He could do with another couple of years learning his trade in the Championship, and if Barkley is already better than Osman, then why isn't he being picked for the senior England squad?
