Anyway, hes currently playing for the U21 who are 1-0 down to Blackburn.

BOSS

#EFC U21s to face Blackburn: Springthorpe, Stones, Browning, Duffy, Garbutt, Junior, Kennedy, Barkley, Hitzlsperger, Vellios, McAleny.

Playing this guy in goal isn't going to inspire a clean sheet like.

On a related note though, that's a talented looking young side on paper.

Can you even make out the players from the Top Balcony tho mate?

Ive sat there a few times, the players looked like ants, are you sure it wasnt Neville?

Maybe next time he plays you should stay at Home and watch on a stream, you see much more.

Ahahahahaha. Expensive tickets Top Balcony lad. Top views. That's why I moved from the Street End

He looked more than comfortable against stoke. Never looked one bit out of place. Comparing him to Cadamarteri and Branch should convince people where you are with this. Way, way off the mark! I'm not saying he's ready to take on the world. I'm Saying he should be comfortably be pushing Gibson and Osman for a starting position, 2 years after he made those appearances. Much better than you'll ever be convinced at present.

Cadamateri skinned two RS defenders before banging in an 18 yard screamer, what has Barkley done? Er, he looked good in a pre-season friendly, and he looked 'comfortable' at Stoke, which really means that he did absolutely feck all of note.

Rodwell had already scored a collection of screamers and had numerous first team performances under his belt when he was Barkley's age, as had Rooney, but Barkley has yet to show that he is anywhere near that level yet. I think you need to look up the word 'hype', because that's all you are referring to, you can't give examples of when this great talent has been exhibited for all to see. He's had a few decent performances for Sheff Wed and that's it.

If he was good enough Moyes would be playing him, as he did with Rodwell and Rooney.

I've gave you examples mate, you're ignoring them though

. Rodwell was never anywhere near the standard of Barkley. Rodwell was lucky enough to be playing in an era when Fellaini was raw (and crap), Segundo Castillo was present an Arteta was injured a lot therefore he had lots of opportunity. Rodwell was also less of a luxury player than Barkley, therefore less of a risk and that's why Moyes gave him countless opportunities because he done the basics well. Rodwell is still making mistakes now for City. Look at his debut!

The end of the day Moyes gave Rodwell more playing time. He's yet to offer Ross this yet.

Has rodwell's injury history affected moyes thinking about being carefull with Ross??

Incedentaly rodwell's just limped off again holding his hammy!!

@Everton GOAL! What a strike from Barkley! On the left touch line, just inside the area, he creates that little bit of space and finds the far corner

5..4..3..2..1... "Get Barkley on FFS"

Glad to see he's actually getting a run out fro the U21's. Surprised he hasn't really featured for them recently.

He does live.

Superb strike from Barkley. How has he squeezed that shot through a packed box from that angle?! Worth a watch on the highlights certainly
