Great tackle when he got booked. Ridiculous that there was a foul given never mind a card.

Lost the ball a bit too much when he came on, but I have a question.

Does he 'try too much' because he doesn't get any game time and feel he has to impress rather than just play it simple?

I think its his energy, hes got tons of it, hes coming on when the rest of the team are a bit tired and trying to see out the game.

He needs a couple of games to settle his nerves.

Very much this. Last time he made a mistake he was dropped for two years. I'd be nervous too!

Looked OK to me. Some great passes, intelligent movement, lost the ball once or twice but everyone on the pitch did.

I thought he was good , kept things to ticking over and used ball well. Just needs a chance for me and 1-2 games to bed in. Cleverley is no better than him for me but has more march experience.

As someone else said, pretty sure the yellow was for kicking the ball away, still a rubbish decision from the ref.

He looked a bit nervous to be honest. Got something about him though.

Ross did not deserve that yellow card.

Mike Jones is a disgrace. He can't possibly dress himself

I'd like to see Ross get more game time. Stoke was the wrong team for him to play I think.
Spurs, Arse, RS, Chelsea away ?

running out of games so I am happy that we saw 15 minutes. To be fair this wasn't a dead rubber he was thrown into so maybe Moyes is seeing him mature ?

He did deserve the yellow, kicked the ball away, letter of the law & all that.
Still, I like what I see from Barkley.

I was surprsed to see Barkley being brought on.It shows that the manager does now believe that he is redy for the first team.

Defending a 1-0 lead against a team like Stoke would usually mean only one thing..Hitzlesperger to shore up the midfield and see out time.It certainly wouldn't mean bringing on a youngster that he doesn't trust.
It ws a very brave decision and I am sure will have given Barkley a huge confidence boost.I think we will see quite a bit of Barkley between now and the end of the season, playing some part in a lot of game.
Barkley seemed obe vey aware of what was needed,he kept it simple and worked hard.It was the right thing to do,as he settles and gets confidence his game will expand.
