Ross Barkley

Well surely they are premier league sharp but I would never of played them in front of Barkley on that performance.

He wasnt a world beater but he had a very good game.

Nev's legs are gone and Heitinga is a defender/defensive mid.

Moyes saw sense in dropping Fellaini back as he is our best DM and we're out of central midfielders.

Ross got played, at a push, because Osman was injured and we dont have other central midfielders.

Anyone questioning his ability after that performance needs to have a word with themself.

He was great and as said much much better than having Neville, Heitinga or Hitzlsperger in there. It's 2013 not 2006

Exactly so the only other option would of been to push Fellaini up to allow Heitinga in because he's 'premier league sharp'.

But I dont see that at all, I thought Ross had a good game and hes only going to get better.

Strangely enough I thought the stuff he is most hyped over, his through balls, creativity etc were a bit lacking, didn't make much and aside from one good shot (which didn't half bring back images of Rooney v Arsenal when he hit it), actually did little of note, whereas the stuff he's renowned for not being good at, defending, tracking back, keeping the ball, etc I thought he was excellent.
Shows to me he has the ability to do it all.

Or common sense in that...Osman was injured and we needed a central midfielder and replaced him.

Lets have it right, never said he didnt have a good game. I'm talking about his whole game which still has flaws and a reason why he hasnt been starting even though people want him playing every week.

We can bury our heads in the sand and go "well done" then fume when he doesnt play next week. Or some can appreciate what he's done and also pinpoint the things he needs to improve.

Being able to not panic under pressure and lose the ball, to speed his game up, is a small thing overall.

The biggest improvement for me was his workrate more than anything.

The lad is class. He'll be one of the top PL players for years to come. Hopefully we get to see it in an Everton shirt.

Agree Dave; he had his moments tonight and will be a top player. Give him a proper run of games, and he'll get over giving the ball away like he did on occasion tonight. We have a player on our hands here

Apart from Neville, ever again.

All of what you have pointed out there improves by doing what mate?

This.

Some people just fume if people criticise. Moyes and his staff will do far worse than we will when it comes down to critisim of the lad.

Barkley showed me tonight that that he should have played much more this season - especially against weaker opposition -
I did not miss Osman at all - Barkley was like a breath of fresh air with a stiff work rate -
the moment he went off Arsenal took total control of the midfield -
I hope he plays every game from now on in
