Ross Barkley

Improved and impressed me a lot tonight, defiantly in the second half where his shot went inches past the post.

I think we all know where Barkley's proper position is: Behind the striker.

Or common sense in that...Osman was injured and we needed a central midfielder and replaced him.

Lets have it right, never said he didnt have a good game. I'm talking about his whole game which still has flaws and a reason why he hasnt been starting even though people want him playing every week.

We can bury our heads in the sand and go "well done" then fume when he doesnt play next week. Or some can appreciate what he's done and also pinpoint the things he needs to improve.

Being able to not panic under pressure and lose the ball, to speed his game up, is a small thing overall.

The biggest improvement for me was his workrate more than anything.

will come with experience

He's saving that rooney moment for the derby lids, 25 yarder into the top corner

Whatever ya personal opinion if moyes has taken too long or not to get him actually some games, it just feels good to see him against the likes of spurs and arse and not look out of place, one for the future and the future is now

I think you need to re-evaluate everything you've said about him tonight. That was a great performance from a 19 year old away at the Emirates. I think you are completely wrong on every level.

Barkley showed me tonight that that he should have played much more this season - especially against weaker opposition -
I did not miss Osman at all - Barkley was like a breath of fresh air with a stiff work rate -
the moment he went off Arsenal took total control of the midfield -
I hope he plays every game from now on in

Yes, noticed this too.

Will you be upset when he gets dropped against Sunderland then if Osman's fit?

I only saw the 2nd half and thought he was really good. Just knew Moyes would sub him though. Having said that, Good to see Moyes put him in again against this opposition.

No I won't be upset because I know Osman is first choice when fit under Moyes.

What makes me happy is the fact Moyes has now moved on from using negative players in a CM role when one of his key players are out. For the past 2 years we've had to put up with Neville and Heitinga in there.

Absolutely.

But again, its not down to Moyes blooding them, its arguable that he's done it because he's out of options.

One thing I will say though is that Victor probably would have much preferred it if Felli was in there instead of Ross. Had a bit of a stinker did Vic tonight, but he probably would have faired a bit better if Felli was up there with him, he just looked too isolated whenever a high ball came to him.

think their is a chance he'll start against the ****e even if osmans fit tbh, the tough away games can see him sticking felli with gibbo to give us more resilience, that means either ossie or barkley pushed up more
