Ross Barkley

in the first the min of the vid that passage of play between Barkley and Lundstrum was superb, retaining the ball and moving, top stuff.

Wish the senior team could play football half aswell as that lot...

I watched that game and it was a nice little showcase of the different skills he's got. The outside in pass round the corner from Gerrard, the Rooney shuffle, even a David Silva fake shot in there. I'd agree he'd be far better off further up the pitch where he can put those things to good use, then it also wouldn't matter so much if he gave the ball away for no reason from time to time.

Actually he reminded me a bit of Beckham, only faster and takes ppl on and playing more central. Similar body shape/language on the pitch, good at getting the ball just ahead of the oppo to control/make a pass/win a free kick.

He's gonna be a hero!!

I see him as a No10. I think he's been playing more of a natural CM role in reserves but I think that's just to help him learn the game more. He was playing on the left for England... With freedom to come inside and take the No10 role which worked well.

As said above it's great seeing all them attributes of other great players in him. He looks like a clone of Rooney when he does the shuffle! Ha... Very very excited about this lad, it's just a matter of time.

Hoping this season is when he comes of age a Barkley coming through and grabbing it with both hands could really be the difference. IMO Barkley is the real secret weapon we possess!

Fellaini Gibson Rodwell Junior (lundstrum)
Naismith pienaar guaye
Osman Barkley Cahill

Add Lewis holtby to that lot and I think we'd be pretty set for many years.

Sh1te formation la, none of that back four can play in defense except Rodders...

Brennan91, cheers for posting my video.

Barkley was by far the best player on the pitch and apart from a few sloppy passes he played really well. I really hope he can play more often this season, he needs to brush up on the few mistakes he did but I think that was mainly towards the end of the game when his concentration went down. He must of had a high Pass completion percentage for the game if I was to guess I'd say he would have had a percentage of around 80%.

Nice video pal. Seems most people who have seen Barkley play a few times lately seem to suggest the defending/sloppy passes are the only areas he needs to work on. I still hope we have a real player on our hands here!
