Not for me. There are few things that make me happier than seeing a blue in blue playing like he does.Lets say Lakaku hit 20 goals for us and we make a bid to keep him and Jose wants Barkley as part of the deal.Yes or No?
Imagine walking out in CL final and lifting the prem trophy and 75k screaming your name. Im a big blue but money talks mate... If you got offered now 10k at Everton or 100k at united then you would go. Its the money mate which would make you
The difference in wages wouldn't be anywhere near that.
You also forget that Moyes was the man who stagnated Ross, why would he be in such a hurry to get back to him?
Can't we just enjoy having good players and stop trying to sell them? It stinks of self loathing thinking that we think any good player is above us.
...haven't spotted anybody picking up on this but apologies if already mentioned, but there was a very interesting exchange on TalkSport newspaper review at 07.10ish this morning.
The reviewer mentioned an article about Barkley in one of today's broadsheets and interestingly, Neil Warnock was Alan Brazil's guest. Warnock said something along the lines of;
"....funny enough I had this boy at Leeds and there's only one position he can play, the Wayne Rooney role. David Moyes said you can't give him any responsibility, he has to have free role. England need to be aware of this but Martinez's approach has certainly given him confidence".
I think this answers a lot of questions regarding why Moyes didn't give him a run and why Leeds sent him back. Moyes wants all of his players to take responsibility for tracking back and marking up when they haven't got the ball. He clearly felt (rightly or wrongly) that Barkley was a risk in respect of this. Martinez on the other hand is happy to accommodate the talent and workaround any weakness.
If you think winning the Champions League for United is better than slotting the winner against the sh*te in front of the Gwladys Street, you're not a proper Evertonian in my eyes.
I didn't want to say that but it is exactly the way I feel.
It is bizarre in my eyes that any Evertonian would say he would rather play at any other club even to win things over spending a whole career living his boyhood dream.
These agents can do a lot of arm twisting,as in Rooney's case?
I just think it would be nice if people didn't keep going on about selling our players 6 weeks into the season.
