Ross Barkley

my main point is that space or not Mirallas' first touch and passing is worse than Ross and Pienaars and for me that excludes him from that position really. I even understand Osman getting in there ahead of him. He has something in common with Osman in that his form is like a yoyo really. He plays mostly from the bench I think for Belgium, haven't seen him in the central role.

For me the jurys still out on Kev, Osman and Pienaar are on the downward slope of their careers and Ross is still green but brilliant.. I think we need this position filled. in the summer. Somebody who can play across the three so that we have the option of playing Ross deep or in the hole.

Just sign Tadic, would sort that out

Ive never seen him, but from everybodys description of him including my dutch mate I was thinking his being linked makes sense.

I know Dutch on here rates him very highly mate, the guy has everything in his locker we lack, creative, incisive and a great interplayer with teammates, for a reported value of 12m or so then would be great business, especially if we could bring in the likes of canales on loan with a set in stone option to buy as part of the loan, would turn a position of huge weakness into strength instantly for less money than we raised for vic and jela leaving

Those two i.mentioned would be great replacements in the starting line up long/short term for peanuts and ozzie as well as being significant upgrades

Set the ball rolling on that one please!

See here Bobby mentions Ross is still feeling pain from the broken toe, might explain him not looking his normal self. We could do with some luck injurywise soon. Pienaa and Jags dont look quite right yet either.

Just not on form at the minute Ross, very poor today after being brought on.

I'd like to see him given the full 90 against West Ham to see can he get some form/momentum going ahead of the cup quarter, unless his lack of form is down to him not being fully over his injury.

Truly awful today. People quick to make excuses for him, "match fitness" shouldn't prevent him being able to play a simple square ball. Far too casual with his passing, no care taken over it.

I can forgive his mis placed passes but I can't forgive his complete lack of hunger or desire to win the ball back. He was the same in the derby, you would of thought being a young Evertonian he would run his bollocks off but he doesn't break sweat.

I will never forget that pass he done to Coleman or Deulofeu. I think he is fit, people are just using it as an excuse.

He was bloody awful today & as fitzy says there, someone needs to tell him that he's not exempt from working when we've not got the ball.

He's had too much smoke blown up his arse this season IMO.

...heard today that he's really struggling with his toe. I don't know if its true, but if so he needs to be pulled and let nature take its course. It might be a favour to him (and us) if he doesn't go to Brazil in the summer.

What does that mean? Fans can't offer a reason why the young lad may be struggling for form? Would you be happier if everyone says you're right, he's rubbish?
