yeah I still think long term he will be cm, just a bad game, he can pass like vs arsenal and his power going forward when he runs with the ball needs to be utilized and hes not a bad tackler too. to play number 10 requires good decision making which isn't his strong point even though it will improve but not enough i think

I like when Ross plays as a CM because he seems to look for that killer ball, something that we desperately need.

But he literally tried to play someone through with every pass, not looking up to see where Palace players are.

He'll learn from it, make no mistake this will be his position in time. I think the Liverpool, Saints and Aresnal home games showed us that.

For the first 20 minutes I thought he was doing really well, but then he seemed too desperate to make something happen when really just needed to tick it over.

In my view, that's his spot in the long term.

His performance was a strange one, overall he was poor but he done some really good stuff at the same time, it was more his distribution that let him down!

Although he lost the ball quite a lot he still never looked scared to get on the ball and was always looking to make himself available which is a good sign. Hopefully he's learned something new to take forward.

The rules are ridiculous, something like you must be 23 and under at the start of the relevant season. James Milner won Young player at 24. He's played first team football since he was 16. Or should be 21 and under.
