Ross Barkley

He doesn't look right to me to what i seen couple of months ago he was running at players taking players on in is last couple of games hes has been falling over the ball and carnt put a pass together his head is just not on it is something effecting him?

Nobody played well today and Barkley was part of that, but blues shouldn't be too hard on him. We had united for £28m for that lump with an afro, and replaced him with a brilliant young scouser. Part of the excitement is watching him develop and in his first season he's shown moments of pure bossness, so it would be a bit 'moyes' of us to get on his case as his form drops below Zidanne-like levels.
Plenty of room for improvement for Ross & I don't think he'll be on the plane to the world cup.

I know this may sound nutty, but we kicked off and Barkley lost the ball after 10secs playing with a sloppy pass.

Next time we touched ball was Tim taking it out of net.

His head is deffo not right, he miles behind the player he was earlier on in the season. Was told a few weeks ago his agent is playing hard ball with Everton and are looking for a massive contract, this could be putting him under pressure.

This could be a factor if true.

Give him a decent contract next season when he's really proved his worth, don't want any bad eggs in our squad!

Doesn't deserve stick from us, he's our own Ross Barkley.
And you know, he knows, we all know he is exciting but still expendable. It has happened like 4 or 5 times so far this season that he has been subbed off tactically because things are not working out for some reason and he accepts that. He'll get his head down and work for it.

At least he's allowed to be poop once in a while, he'll be told that, subbed and eventually get a new chance. He made one mistake (the peno against blackburn) under Moyes and never recovered until Martinez came in. He's had that and that double leg break and all sorts of adversity going against him, surely this season is a light challenge in comparison.

So yeah, he sucked today, but imagine how boss he will be come august. :D

Really disappointed with his recent performances, hope he does get his place in the squad for rio for his sake, but needs to get involved in games more, seems like he isn't motivated enough. Perhaps being left out of the squad would make him more determined to improve? Don't want to see him left out but it could do him good for next season. Gonna judge him on next season for now, look at sterling for example, pretty much same story in his breakthrough season and now he is playing well consistently.

I think it's almost guaranteed of any young player to go through this.

Lukaku... Barkley... Sterling as you've mentioned, maybe even Sturridge could be placed in a similar category ?
