Ross Barkley

He has flashes of brilliance throughout the game, next season I want him to start showing a bit more for the ball (like osman) and controlling longer periods of the game. He is only young but ability wise I think he can step up.

I will take a bad performance once in a while if he comes up with goals like the one up at St James's a few weeks back.
Southampton was just a bad day out for the blues, i think we are running out of steam :(

Running out of steam is exactly what it is. Give Bob his due, Moyes dropped Ross after that penalty he gave away and he never really gave him much of a chance after that. Ross is a world-class player in the making, and it's Bob who will do the making.

I'm questioning the mental side to his game. When things aren't going our way he looks 1/10th of the player.

James McCarthy is what they should all strive for. Regardless of how we're playing or the scoreline, he never stops giving it everything.

He's like the rest of the gifted pkayers, when things aren't going right he seems to drift out of the game and finds it hard to stamp his authority on the game

but hes only 20, Gerrard was the same, in fact he just hacked people down. Its a sign of frustration when so young

next season will be a better judgement, and I'm sure bobby will just tell him not to worry

I hope the lad doesn't go to brazil, he's has a decent first full season, obviously has much still to learn, and needs a rest. He's still young, his time will come in 4 years when he will hopefully be the player we think he can be. The weight of expectation certainly affects his game.

I don't want to see him again this season tbh, no chance he should be going the world cup either when you look at the likes of Lallana and Sterling. Has to massively improve for me.

Lads lads lads. Got a great new chant for Rpssy Bee.

Get this......

Beatles song 'All together now'

"All together now.....ROSS BARKLEY...
All together now.....ROSS BARKLEY...
All together now.....ROSS BARKLEY...
All together now.....ROSS BARKLEY..."

Reckon long term he'll be a CM. He lacks the natural subtlety to play the #10 role in my opinion that players like Silva,Mata posess.

Still class but long term he'll be a beast Box to box midfielder. Like we saw at Goodison vs the red [Poor language removed] earlier on in the season. His ability to drive from deep is a valuable asset which would be better served in a deeper role where there's more space.

Not arsed if he goes to the World Cup. Go have a nice holiday Ross and come back ready to step it up again for the BLUES.

I'd rather he didn't go, too. Be arsed with the media selling him to Chelsea or City if he scores. But I'm quite sure he's dying to go himself, so for that reason I hope he does.

Problem with Ross is, he's awful defensively and looks scared to put a foot in, also doesn't have the discipline and the general work rate to track back. For me he is not a CM until he atleast makes an effort to work out of possession.

I think he is more of a number 10 myself, only issue is he has poor assists ratio and tends not to get his head up and look for runners to pass to. Maybe that will come with experience, who knows.

One aspect can be learnt, the other aspect is just laziness, and if he doesn't do
It with the young legs he has now, then I doubt he ever will.

Number 10
