Article on the the Daily Mail website he's been getting alleged threats from a 'gangster' If any truth in this maybe that's affected him on the pitch.
Heard this too, this gangsters ploughing through an ex of Ross, has said he's going to end his career for him. Could be what's affecting him ?

Problem with Ross is, he's awful defensively and looks scared to put a foot in, also doesn't have the discipline and the general work rate to track back. For me he is not a CM until he atleast makes an effort to work out of possession.

I think he is more of a number 10 myself, only issue is he has poor assists ratio and tends not to get his head up and look for runners to pass to. Maybe that will come with experience, who knows.

One aspect can be learnt, the other aspect is just laziness, and if he doesn't do
It with the young legs he has now, then I doubt he ever will.

Number 10
Wouldn't say he is scared to put a foot in, that's more peanuts like mate, it's more a case of reading the game better, once he is in a battle with someone to get/keep the ball,he wins most of the time. Like at arsenal away in the league, once he had players coming on to him like ramsey arteta, he just brushed them off him and carried on. For him it's just getting into those situations so basically needs to read the game better, a number 10 will have always had that awareness even at a young age and ross for me hasn't got that so isn't gonna develop in to a number 10. Sure he will improve that reading and awareness a lot so he can make more tackles when he is playing further back. And why would you waste that power he has going forward and put him in number 10 where he is just in the edge of the box, pointless basically your taking away his best attribute. Notice most number 10's are small and agile like silva mata etc, they have no power to drive the ball, they just use their agility to move in and around the box and make smart passes, ross is too powerful to be like that so he has to be a box to box long term, become a toure pretty much

much as i love him, I don't think he's ready for Brazil on the other hand i want us to just chuck all our gifted youngsters in and go for it.

he's been brilliant today despite the scoreline

He has.

I know he's dropped in and out of form but it's a really good first season as a regular starter for him. He's more than earned his place and you'd expect to kick on even more, next year.

Special, special player. Martinez's faith in him has been well and truly paid back. Shows where our previous manager went wrong.

Not the only thing our EX got wrong.

Long long list, mate.

Martinez's handling of our kids has been one of the biggest improvements though.

Lots of starts for Barkley and Stones and everyone else got to try and impress on loan rather than rotting in our reserves.
