You do realise it simply means that the other players parents had money, nothing to do with the wages.

I'd worry about covering in front of the back 4 if we played both, both are attack minded and that would leave an ageing Gerrard/Lampard/Henderson to be our defensive anchor. Not sure if they have the legs except Henderson and he's not very good.

Stick Gerrard in and have Wilshere be more disciplined. We are not going to win it anyway, so at least have them worry about us rather than us worry about them to much. The new Everton way

some nice touches, always wanted the ball, and moved it quickly, created a decent chance for himself with a strong break down the the left, did his chances no harm at all

Thought it was weird having rooney on the left of midfield...surely a better option to play ross?

Would have started him myself, hope he gets a game from the start next.

I'm not convinced that uruguay defence could handle him, and I think he simply looked a better player than the alternatives in the warm up games
