I thought we had a very good player in Ross Barkley but now reading ex-managers, ex-players and some papers I think I may have been duped. We should have got Milner to replace Barkley in the summer.

Remember last season when most 'experts' were calling Ross out as a fraud in comparison to England's only world class prospect Raheem Sterling? Since then Sterling has continued to do absolutely nothing for Liverpool City or England whereas Ross is now bossing games for Everton and England. No doubt in the country's time of need when all the media inflated RS England contingent have dished up their usual rubbish at the Euros, they'll all look to Ross to try and save them. Won't be bothered about his ball retention then will they?

Simply put Ross could settle any game in the Euros by himself against any opposition if he is at his maximum. No other player for England has this peak. Rooney is well past it and when was the last time Sterling or Oxlade Chamberlain did anything that made you think 'wow' what a player? Ross is coming up with these moments regularly. He'd be the only player in the England team that other teams would fear. They would not even lose sleep over facing a pairing of Milner and Henderson.
