Actually one of the pleasing things about Cleverley is that he can hit a decent corner.

Everytime StevieG took a corner you could expect something; with Barkley you know he is going casually kick it to the first
opposition shirt he can spot or he takes a short corner and we lose possession.

I like Celverly's corners. Very pacy and driven into the box. While Baines is better at FKs than corners, the reason we haven't been great is more on the receiving end IMO. We don't have anyone who is dominant in the air. Despite his size Lukaku is not good, same for Barkley. Jags is too short and Stones is still developing that aspect. I actually believe that our best natural header is Osman. Although the next player to score directly off a corner will be Funes Mori. He can actually read the flight of the ball.

Thought he was steady today. No magic happened this time so obviously that disappoints people. He is working hard trying to make things happen and some come off and some don't. Yes his free kicks are a bit meh but overall he is steady. Slightly below his normal standards doesn't make him crap.

needs to let go of the ball quicker. this was my only criticism of piennar who at times would slow the counter attacks down by holding on too long. still having a great season though is Ross.
