My post does make sense, you're reading it wrong.
It doesn't matter if the players are international regulars, when you get talking or are mixing with a different group of players your mind can always be put in doubt. "I want what he's getting" syndrome. It's human nature

... but he offers as much as some of the perceived very best players in the league in his role over an entire season.

"He needs to improve his decision making."

... but he creates nearly as many chances as perceived visionaries like Ozil and Hazard at an inferior club.

"He needs to stop getting giving the ball away."

... but he had twice the amount of successful dribbles as Sigurdsson and, as a percentage, gave the ball away during these dribbles less than Sigurdsson. 15% less in fact.

"He needs to pass the ball forward more."

... but again, his forward passing stats and distance covered by passes are directly comparable with the very best in the league.



And so on, and so on.

Stats aren't everything (in fact, they're barely anything), but given how many people bang on about Barkley being "miles off" the top level, it's enlightening to see the evidence available simply doesn't back that up.

Barkley took on the responsibilities of Leon Osman, the day he hung up his boots... With that comes a harsh crowd. Nobody appreciates him. They're waiting to pounce on every little mistake.

Poor guy.

He's like Osman on steroids.

It's reported by Dave downie a producer on a local radio station with many shows dedicated to football & also co contributor to an Everton website that ross has 100% fact had talks with spurs.

This is not a journalist trying to obtain clicks or notoriety it's a good local season ticket holder who dedicates a large proportion of his professional & personal life to Everton.

Explain something to me Michael if your name is Michael all the Ross detractors suggest every single team below us may potentially move for him but no one above would want him. Any alarm bells ringing Sherlock.

I'd also add the manager of the team that finished directly below us after losing at goodison basically said words TO the affect of the difference between Everton & his team is Ross Barkley & romelu lukaku he didn't say in that game he said the difference. Read into that what you will

Hmmm, so you're support of Barkley now extends to giving credit to a report of him attempting to engineer a move to Spurs, while his club still awaits this young man informing them of his intentions.? Your not a defence lawyer are you, I might know you.:)

David Downie is your source?!?!?!?! He's the "CEO" (his words) of a podcast who loses his rag spectacularly if anyone chooses to contradict him. He followed the BBC chief sports writer around for days for daring to have an opinion different to his. He wrote about 9 tweets to the Echo website about mist the other day and another four praising himself about being ITK about mist.

20 Weasel Points right there. 5 standard, 15 discretionary.

I didn't say I liked him you clearly don't however each to there own. I have no reason to disbelief him when he offers up information regarding Everton.

Woah haha mate, come on. I "don't like" Ross? Go back through this thread to find all the times I've praised him for his much-improved performances this season.

The above post is another example of how people get way too overly defensive over him. Simply by suggesting he is not quite good enough to warrant the attention of Spurs, you are deemed a "detractor" and you must hate poor Ross. Is anyone this defensive about Lukaku when people doubt his credentials to play for a top club?

I'll give you a reason mate - he's not got a clue. He runs two Twitter accounts, one of which he praises his own podcast on. It's like when @Robertor and @ItsOKImAPilot were swapping census infomation.

He does something called the Monday Moan which is essentially what the shipping forecast would be like if @MickM86 did it while on the sniff
