Try and conjure up bullet points for Barkley wanting to leave. I have the below - anything I've missed?

Fans on his back. Whefe I sit in UGS he gets loads of abuse. Even when he's playing boss.

Not saying this is the reason he hasnt signed but I wouldnt be surprised if its a factor.

Poch is more Martinez eh? Blows smoke up all his players arses. Barkley would love to work there.

^ A player he threw £30m at just months previous, calling him out very publicly as a fraud.
How is that remotely like the Barkley situation though?

One player is taking the piss and his manager is rightly all over it; the other is knuckling down (as everyone agreed last season) and still getting stick.

I doubt Pochettino would see Barkley's attitude as a problem.

Not.going.to.play.

If he wants to leave for Spurs and watch from the stands, that's great for him. Send us 35M and have at it. We'll sell Mcarthy for 20, Mori for 15, and go by VVD. Then we'll see who is in the CL next year.
More like £25M.

Everton now have no control over this.

Massive factor in my opinion, it totally smashes his confidence every time. He can be playing ace for 45 mins, one bad touch and the groans a moans come out and he plays crap after. Sad really.

For me, this is a clear message from Koeman.

Sign the contract, or you won't be involved.
Could be as simple as this.

WRD (for what it's worth) said he wasn't officially offered one until 2 days prior to the Arsenal game and that he's been 'hung out to dry'

He shares the same agent as Coleman so I'm not convinced his agent is pushing for this.

On the financial aspect, I think it's highly unlikely he will get more st Spurs as I'm sure Kane is the only player on 100k+ p/w and Spurs took an age to convince him to stay.

Or...

  • None of the above, because we don't know if he wants to leave in the first place.
Koeman has been happy enough spouting to the public about his contract before now - if he's 'rejected' it, he can come out and say so anytime he pleases; but he hasn't.

All we know right now is that Barkley and his agent rejected Koeman's public deadline to sign it. Everything else is nonsense at this time, yet people are stating things as fact.

Nail on head. Read, folks.

Does anyone have anything - anything at all -actually attributable to Ross or his agent since the so-called 'ultimatum'?

IMVHO, it is plausible - and highly appropriate given how important Ross's next contract is to take him to 28 - that his agent has advised him to wait and see what Siggurdson negotiates and then ensure he is in line with that.

All this stuff about him not liking Koeman and not wanting to play for him is all rather fanciful. He's a professional footballer and if he gets the right contract and sees the direction the club is going in, he'll stay.

Serious question Dave - can you please provide your evidence, Koeman quotes etc of the stick you're referring to?

To my recollection Koeman called him out after one uninspired performance last season to say he wants him to impose himself more on the team, given his talent.

I'm not personally aware of any other specific stick he's given him - but I stand to be corrected - if you can...

Day one he was on Barkley's case. Public dressing downs.

He knew what he was doing: undermine the lad and get him shifted for the summer.
Ross seemed to get the blame for everything other players who had bad games no mention who were on more money - Even when ross had a star game RK would state he has still got a lot to learn - this is deffo a personal thing, and if RK goes because he fails this will be his legacy if Ross moves on cheaply and flourishes with another side at the age of 23 - it may happen the other way too RK does great , and Ross flops - my money would back Ross he is 23 years old managed properly is , and could be a top midfielder!

lollollol

Mori is there - Bolasie there, dancing away on one leg in Tanzania.

Barkley's groin strain keeps him out...

Mori hasn't gone mate. Neither has Coleman.

Bolasie is a huge attraction clearly. He's a big name in African football and has stepped up his recovery. Makes sense for him to go.

Joey, please give me one example of when Koeman 'blamed' Ross for anything, or blamed Ross for anything that another player had done!

This didn't happen.
