It's a really crap game of poker where nobody will show their hand - Nobody knows what the contract is. Nobody knows why Ross isn't signing. Nobody knows if he's actually on the transfer list. Nobody knows if Spurs (or anybody) have shown firm interest in signing him.

I need to see the evidence he was in tears. From memory he looked worried at worst and this has been overblown by fans into "he was in tears".

Why was he even worried? How fragile and insecure do you have to be to mistake fans correctly booing a dreadful team performance for picking on you individually?

Well he gets picked on weekly at Goodison hence why he probably thought it was aimed at him.

And yes I know you'll respond with the usual 'he isn't picked on at goodison'. Well as you know i disagree, I think its startlingly obvious that he is and all you need two ears and the ability to pay attention during a match to see it but we're never going to agree on that so hey ho.

Anyway, point is he didn't cry. He looked worried and it got overblown by our fans.

Yeah we won't get into that whole is he or isn't he picked on thing, we already know we completely disagree on that one.

On the bolded bit, funnily enough I think exactly that for my own point of view.

Jags made him worried by saying they not booing u ross. Up till then ross hadnt really thought about it.

Club wanted Ross to sign 100k a week deal at the beginning of the summer. Ross and his agent decide to see what happens over the summer and what deals any new signing will receive. Then reassess clubs offer, ask for parity with new signings (most probably on more than what was offered to Ross) then sign the new deal once parity is reached.

From your perspective, has this situation changed? I mean it still makes sense, if Sig joins us.
 

I think he's being isolated until his situation is sorted one way or the other, more probable is he'll be out of the door. Can't be good for him or his teammates being on tour if his future is uncertain. Real shame it's got to this point. I really expected him to have just signed a contract and get his head down.
 
As much as I've just gotta gut feeling he'll stay, one thing that can't be denied is that this whole situation is dead weird.
