Ross Barkley

The fella's name on it - Adrian Kajumba - has never written anything of note, ever. If anything, it's as you say, he's doing it for Spurs' gain.

Yup, when a fed story leaks like this to a total unknown journo, it's basically a fed story to a new pet journo.

Spurs 100% will not spend anything major this year, not 30-40m that it'd take - and those 17m figures are laughable to anyone who knows our clubs and the way we sell price wise, and 150k - yup whilst they are paying that stadium off either - that ain't happening

This is just my opinion. We are going back and forth, trying to decifer the stalemate; the silence.
The answer is sometimes the simplest. The club have offered him a contract because they want him to stay.
Ross wants to join his England pals at a top 4 team. He thinks he's good enough. He thinks he deserves it.
He thinks playing for Everton is having a detrimental affect on his career.
He thinks by not signing the contract, that it will hasten his dream move.
Everton will know his stance and so will the other players. His stance has been known for many months. He has probably reached the point of no return despite Everton showing ambition.
Now here is the sad part. Ross isn't the player he thinks he is. He has let his ego get in the way of common sense. The bottom line is that Ross Barkleys Everton career is over.

I will reserve judgement on Ross until we get more information.

Actions speak louder than words, so he's turned up for training but has not travelled, which is maybe his or RKs choice or maybe due to the injury, but who really knows.

Hopefully he stays, as he offers us a really good option as part of the squad, maybe even out on the right, like a Beckham role.
I think we will go after Siggy if he stays or not.
